Technical Sales Engineer – Solar & Energy Solutions

At Corys Electrical, we’re powering the future with smarter electrical, solar, renewable energy, and energy storage solutions. We’re looking for a technically strong and commercially minded Technical Sales Engineer – Solar & Energy Solutions to join our growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of renewable energy and electrical innovation, supporting customers, consultants, contractors, and internal teams with practical, compliant, and commercially effective solutionsReporting to the Portfolio Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting project opportunities from early engagement through to conversion. You’ll combine technical expertise with solution-based sales support across:

• Solar PV systems
• Renewable energy solutions
• Battery and energy storage systems
• EV charging and adjacent electrical technologies
  

You’ll work closely with suppliers, consultants, branch teams, BDMs, and customers to develop technically sound and commercially viable project solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Reviewing project specifications, drawings, and customer requirements
• Developing compliant and commercially practical technical solutions
• Supporting quotations, tenders, proposals, and technical documentation
• Engaging with consultants and stakeholders to influence specifications early
• Providing technical support across project opportunities and customer applications
• Supporting sales growth and solution conversion opportunities
• Building strong industry relationships across customers and suppliers
• Assisting with technical product support and knowledge sharing internally

What We’re Looking For

You’ll bring a combination of technical capability, commercial awareness, and relationship-building skills, along with experience in one or more of the following:

• Technical sales engineering
• Solar and renewable energy
• Electrical engineering or distribution
• Energy storage or EV charging solutions
• Project or applications engineering

Ideally, You’ll Have:

• Strong understanding of solar PV, energy storage, and electrical systems
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schedules
• Experience preparing technical proposals and tender documentation
• Commercial awareness and solution-selling capability
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Relevant electrical, engineering, renewable energy, or trade qualifications (preferred)
