Key Account Manager - Ashburton

This role combines Key Account Management and Counter Sales, designed for a commercially driven salesperson who thrives on winning new business and growing existing accounts.

You’ll take ownership of a portfolio across the Ashburton region, actively identifying opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and delivering sales growth — while also contributing to the fast-paced, customer-focused environment of the branch.

What you’ll be doing

Key Account Management


•Own and grow a portfolio of B2B accounts with a strong focus on revenue growth
•Proactively identify and convert new business opportunities
•Build and leverage relationships with contractors, industrial clients, and project stakeholders
•Deliver competitive pricing, quotes, and tenders to win work
•Maintain a strong sales pipeline and accurate forecasting in CRM systems
•Track performance against KPIs and drive continuous account growth

Counter Sales & Branch Support

•Deliver fast, efficient, and knowledgeable service at the trade counter
•Convert walk-in enquiries into sales opportunities
•Support customers with product advice, orders, and solutions
•Contribute to branch performance through teamwork and operational support

What you’ll bring

•Proven success in B2B sales, Key Account Management, or Account Management
•A strong commercial mindset with a track record of winning and growing business
•Confidence in identifying opportunities and closing deals
•Experience in trade, electrical wholesale, or industrial environments (advantageous)
•Ability to build relationships quickly and influence decision-makers
•Highly self-motivated, target-driven, and results-focused
