Accounts Payable - Mt Eden

Are you an experienced Accounts Payable professional who enjoys keeping things accurate, organised and moving? Corys Electrical is looking for an Accounts Payable team member to join our Finance team and play a key role in keeping our supplier accounts and reconciliations running smoothly.

What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Company Accountant, you’ll take ownership of a range of Accounts Payable activities, including:

• Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies.
• Completing month-end general ledger reconciliations.
• Responding to and resolving supplier and branch queries.
• Working closely with suppliers and branches to investigate and resolve issues.
• Managing suppliers in credit balances.
• Following up on Goods Received Not Invoiced (GRNI), particularly items over 90 days.
• Maintaining strong, professional relationships with our suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Providing internal reporting and analysis as required.
• Supporting the wider Finance and Management teams with ad-hoc tasks and projects.
• Working in line with Corys Electrical policies, procedures and compliance requirements.

What we’re looking for

You’ll be an experienced Accounts Payable professional who is comfortable working in a busy environment and managing competing priorities. You’ll bring:

• Solid accounting knowledge and 3+ years’ reconciliation experience.
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced Accounts Payable role.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• The ability to investigate issues, identify discrepancies and find practical solutions.
• A proactive approach and the confidence to take ownership of tasks.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with suppliers and colleagues.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) & Continia essential.
